That Refresh.

That refresh. This new year refresh. It always feels so refreshing. Until you realize the switch did not automaticly turn to NEW! It’s amazing. I just thought this year. It would be different. Oh wait. It’s not an automatic switch. Refresh has to start with me. Allowing change to happen. I have to admit. Feels good for that to finally sink in. If I want change. I have to make the change. Who says you can’t start now?

So everday I have been working on baby goals. Setting them in place and just refocusing my refresh one day at a time. It has felt so good. To feel like myself again. Each little moment. So good. Making changes in my health too. Goodness it’s hard. But I am doing it. One thing that I keep reminding myself is consistency is key in everything you do. I have to be all in too. I can’t expect the change I want to happen if I keep making excuses. I am strong enough. I am capable enough. I am enough. SO ARE YOU.

I find myself looking back at the past couple of years in disbelief. That I allowed myself to creep back into old habits. Allowing the doubt to set in. I have to stop. I am enough. Period. Reminding myself every second.

I love my story. This chapter is going to be the best one yet. Because I finally feel the change. The change I need. I am so thankful for my relationship with God. My hubby. My kiddos. My family. My friends. Soaking in this chapter includes them. Making memories and enjoying the JOY. Embracing happiness. It’s up to me. To find that true joy and happiness. He is directing this. Preparing the way. I have to chose to be who He has called me to be. Not sit back and wonder what’s next. Live this life. Growing through what I have and will go through. That is part of my story. The beautiful, crazy, amazing part of my chapter.

My prayer for you is for you to see what God has right in front of you. To embrace the joy no matter the circumstance. The chapter you are in is right where He wants you. Are you ready for that refresh and change. Allow Him in. Let’s do this together.

It feels so good to write again. I miss it. The best is yet to come. I am grateful for that.
