What's going on?
What’s going on? Well lets just say a lot. I know you know what I mean. Life gets crazy. Wait just a second?? Life is always crazy. Crazy beautiful. All the things. Seasons we experience. Trials we combat. Circumstances we encounter. Hard days. Good days. The “ I survived” days. One day i’m writing a book. It’s been a dream of mine. I want to tell you everything. All the hurdles. Different feelings through all the seasons. The nitty gritty. It’s surreal to look back and realize all that my precious family and I have survived. And the beauty from ashes. This year I wanted it to be a little different. Not starting the new year with unattainable goals. I wanted to be different. inside and out. I want to finally let go and allow God to truly work through all the things that weigh me down. Literally. Now, here we are. Two months in. What have I accomplished? Learned?
Here it is. When I started my journey I never realized how hard the “after” would be. Figuring out all the things. Understanding that no matter what I changed physically on the outside, I had to also dig deep and work on the spiritual and emotional. As a wife. Mom. Daughter. Sister. Friend. Teacher. Believer. Dreamer. I just thought that when I lost weight that it all would be perfect. I know what you are thinking. But it’s true. For most of us we think that just changing the number on that box, the size we wear, the reflection in the mirror that it all just falls into place and we forever feel amazing. So not true. The work it takes to lose the weight. Our outside appearance. The work also has to be done on the inside too. Remembering how unique you are is so important. I believe this is the hardest part.
UNIQUE…
The past two weeks our message series at church is titled “Unique”. P Steve has seriously gotten to me on this one. Love how God shares the words we need to hear exactly when we need to hear them. Do you realize that there is no one like you. Out of 7,655,957,369 people in this world, you are YOU. Only one like you. You were created. Perfectly. He knows the numbers of hairs on your head. He created you. He knows your struggles. Pain you experience. Sin. When you fall. How your day will go. All. The. Things. Each day we are given a new day. That is not by mistake. He sees our day and gives us a new one. To start over. How ever we chose. Will we do it differently? Better? Grow from the mistakes. Be thankful for the achievements? Will we live fully? And run after our purpose? UNIQUENESS. Love this word. It’s true. Stop comparing yourself. Stop looking for approval in other people. Likes on a post. Followers you have. If someone likes you. YOU my friend are enough. You are amazing. You are BEAUTIFUL. You are AWESOME. You are YOU. Imperfectly perfect YOU. Uniquely YOU. Don’t forget that.
So how do you work on YOU? Work on the inside? Of you? Daily. With grace. Love. Strength. With HIM. Take time to focus on how far you have come. What gives you joy. What you have accomplished. The goals you have crushed. The moments that you will remember forever. Write it down, on paper, your mirror you look into daily, type it out, share with a close friend, pray, record it, take time to truly reflect on you. You are worth the time. Just 5 minutes a day. You owe it to yourself. We have to put ourselves as a priority, so we can be there for the ones we love. This story. This life. Of mine. Of yours. It was made for MORE. To do more. Be more. Share more. Live more. Hope more. Dream more. Believe more. Give more. Cherish more. LOVE more. LOVE YOU. MORE.
Today. Remember you are truly Unique. Loved. PHENOMINAL.
I can’t explain how much I love and adore writing. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and my story. I pray that my words (His words) speak to you. This is my dream and I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to share my life with you. The good. The crazy. The awesome. The real.
