Update on maintenance life. I really wish I could tell you it’s been easy. Nope, freakin hard. One of the hardest things I have ever done. I have been on maintenance now for 3 years. 3 years! Still figuring it all out. Daily. I wake up with the right mindset and BAM. Right back into learning the hard way. The consistency I had during my weight loss was on point. One year of taking care of me and not allowing anything to derail me. Since that day, reaching goal finally after a whole life of struggling with my weight. It felt so good. I thought I had it all figured out. I knew that I could do this thing. Then. It happened. Slowly getting back to old habits. I never thought I would lose that focus. I didn’t gain back all my weight. But the little I did. Was enough. It took 3 years for me to finally realize that this time. This season. These struggles. All apart of my journey. My story. The little dips in my path. Learning and growing. These things were to be learned all along. I was just too stubborn to embrace.

Some of us have a hard time losing. Some of us have a hard time maintaining. Some of us just are having a hard time. Good time. Best of time. Living and creating our story. I was talking to my sweet friend Ashley. She said to write about it. Little did she know, we were both thinking the same thing. That chat sparked in me this post. I wish I could tell you that all this was a piece of cake and these are the things you should do. But that’s not it. I can’t tell you or anyone else the perfect way to lose the weight. Nor maintain the weight. I still don’t have it figured out. But, I can tell you it can be done. Those little moments that derail us. Our journey. When life just seems not fair. Our journey. Where life seems to be going smoothly. Our journey. How weight loss goes so well. Our journey. Why are we going through all this craziness? Our journey.

You see. We were not promised an easy path. How boring would that be? We. You. Me. Our time is given to us. To live. To learn. To grow. To stumble. To give. To share. To understand. To fall. To create. To become. To be. YOU. ME. Giving an opportunity to share our experience. Through the good, bad, ugly. So others can see. See the truth. Not the perfection. We are not capable of that. What we are capable of is living fully. With grace. love. hope. courage. strength. The little ups and downs are just another chapter being written. If it was easy. It would simply just be easy. It’s not. So now what?

Live each day fully. Learning. Growing. Becoming. Who you are. Like no one else. No one can be you. You have to chose to do you. Boo. Are you ready. To take the things that you have been through. Creating your story. Your journey. With this in mind. You can. You will. I can. I will. Get through this. One. Day. At. A. Time.

As always thank you for taking the time to stop and read my blog. You truly are amazing. I love sharing my journey. My story. So thankful and blessed.

xoxo,
